Hub Rally, an off-road event returns with seventh edition

karachi: The seventh edition of ‘Hub Rally’ will take place on January 19 in Hub’s off-road environment. With the immense success in the last few years, the event will be bigger and better this time around with an increased racing track from 11km to 20km. Renowned racers including Nadir Magsi, Ronney Patel, Sahibzada Sultan Mohammad Ali, Tushna Patel, and 50 other drivers will participate in the mesmerizing off-road event. The event is spread over three categories stock, prepared and women. Stock and prepared are further classified into three classes A, B, and C. Amir Magsi will defend the title in Prepared Category A, Amir Magsi in B and Shiraz Qureshi in C. Salma Khan was the winner in last year’s prepared women followed by Tushna Patel and Asma Asif. According to the founder of ‘Hub Rally’ Shujaat Sherwani, the event has gained immense popularity in a short period of time. He said that this event has revamped motorsports in Pakistan and its short format creates excitement. “We have been organizing this event for the last six years. I think we have covered milestone going strength by strength. I hope this event grows well and makes a prominent place in other parts of Pakistan too,” he said. It must be noted here that there is also a window for those enthusiastic racers who risk their lives on the streets of Karachi. They can join the race and show their skills on a bigger platform. “Like every year, this time also we are providing a separate track for those enthusiastic racers who are interested in motorsports but risk their lives on streets,” Shujaat said. The winning prize of the event is PKR 10,00,000 which will be divided among winners in different categories.
